One simple way I passively get more Chinese in my life is changing the language setting for my iPad to Chinese. When you change to Chinese it displays you a little message: "正在设置语言", "now setting language". iTunes, Mail, Safari, YouTube and Game Center remain in English but the rest of the home screen icons are given Chinese names.
I like the one for notes which translates better to 'aide-memoire' and is literally 'prepare for forgetting record'.
Here's the rest:
You could obviously live you whole life not knowing what these names mean if you already recognise the icon. But when you change to Chinese you quickly have to learn 'cut', 'paste', 'copy' and 'select' otherwise you'll be in for some frustrations. From there you can navigate the 设置 which has a lot of vocabulary for you to enjoy.
